LATE HARVEST RIESLING
- Tasting Notes - 1999 ( notes ) 2004 ( notes ) 2005 ( notes )
Towards the end of each years vintage a portion of our estate grown Riesling fruit is left to hang on the vines for late harvesting.
The warm, moist conditions brought about by early Autumn rains, results in a thinning of the skins and a loss of fluid from the berries, leaving them ‘raisened’ and highly concentrated in flavour.
Showing honey and apricot flavours on the nose, this is a complex wine with a fresh yet gently lingering finish.
