For this luscious barrel aged fortified we let the fruit shrivel on the vine until semi-dry, reaching approx 20 baume, hand picked and painstakingly crushed. After a short ferment, quality brandy spirit is added, which kills the converting yeast and retains the natural sweetness. Aged in old small barrels until it develops some rancio complexity, it displays bright ripe apricot in colour, with the palate delivering rich raisin, orange marmalade and floral notes.
