GTS is a unique blend of Grenache, Tannat and Shiraz. The parcels were evening picked, crushed and rotary fermented with a portion of whole bunches.
The Grenache component which provides the sweet front palate was matured in older barriques to maintain fresh varietal characters of raspberry rose petal and subtle spice. The famously tannic Tannat which supplies the power and weight in the middle, was seasoned in 2 year old American hogsheads. It imparts violets, quince, plus hints of lavender and rosemary with the palate delivering liquorice, red currant and sage. Whilst the Shiraz which was French and American oak matured adds chocolate, red plum and star of anise in addition to backbone and length of flavour.
