The long cool summer enhanced slow ripening, hence providing optimum varietal character. The 2015 Grenache Shiraz Mataro exhibits aromas of blackberry, raspberry, spicy plum and toffee apple, with hints of pomegranate and pepper.
On the palate this rich intense wine displays spicy mulberry, ripe red cherry, Christmas pudding and chocolate notes, complemented by a seam of cranberry and star of anise.
A beautifully balanced wine, with fruit, subtle oak and tannin in harmony.
Drink now or until 2020 under the right cellaring conditions.
